We are seeking a Director, Battery Energy Storage Systems that will drive profitable growth, market positioning, and strategic alignment for Littelfuse across the global BESS market. This role requires deep expertise in the BESS ecosystem—including technologies, applications, value chain dynamics, and competitive landscape. As Littelfuse’s senior market authority for BESS, this individual will collaborate across business units to shape strategy, strengthen customer engagement, prioritize investments, and ensure product roadmaps align with market needs.

The ideal candidate is both strategic and customer-facing: a leader who can influence cross-functional execution, engage top global customers, and guide Littelfuse toward becoming the market leader across all focus technologies supporting energy storage.

About the Job:

Market Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and own the company-wide BESS market strategy, including segmentation, growth opportunities, competitive positioning, and long-term vision.

  • Maintain expert-level understanding of the global BESS market, value chain, regulations, technology trends, and key market players.

  • Define strategic initiatives to enhance Littelfuse’s leadership position in the BESS sector.

Customer & Marketing Engagement

  • Serve as the primary global interface with top BESS OEMs, integrators, utilities, and technology partners.

  • Educate customers on Littelfuse’s solution portfolio and articulate our differentiated value proposition.

  • Lead Voice of the Customer (VoC) efforts to capture market requirements and ensure alignment with Littelfuse’s innovation roadmap.

  • Develop and maintain strong executive-level customer relationships to influence specifications, partnerships, and long-term agreements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Product Management, Application Engineering, Marketing, Operations, and Sales to ensure flawless execution of BESS-related projects and initiatives.

  • Align product development priorities with market demands and customer feedback.

  • Partner with Sales and regional teams to support opportunity development, account strategies, and channel enablement.

  • Influence product roadmap across Littelfuse business units.

Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Define and track critical KPIs measuring progress, profitability, customer success, and overall market leadership.

  • Report market trends, performance, risks, and critical needs to executive leadership monthly.

  • Ensure clear communication and alignment across global business units to accelerate BESS-related growth.

Success Measures

  • Achieve top-tier leadership position across all targeted technology categories within the BESS market.

  • Increase market share, revenue, and profitability in alignment with Littelfuse’s strategic growth objectives.

  • Drive strong adoption of Littelfuse solutions by key global customers and partners.

  • Deliver actionable customer insights that shape a well-aligned product roadmap.

  • Execute major initiatives on time and meet KPI targets.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field (technical background preferred).

  • MBA highly desirable.

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in the BESS market or adjacent energy storage, power electronics, or renewable energy sectors.

  • Deep technical and commercial understanding of BESS architectures, safety systems, power conversion, protection technologies, standards, and emerging trends.

  • Proven track record in leading market strategy, business development, or product leadership roles in complex global markets.

  • Experience working directly with major OEMs, integrators, and utilities.

  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to influence without authority.

  • Excellent communication and executive-level presentation capabilities.

  • Ability to travel globally 30–50%.

The salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.

Salary Range:

$166,000 - $266,560
