Responsibilities
- Oversees the successful analytics and data need requests of Pricing and other Finance led initiatives
- Supports Ad-Hoc requests as they arise due to business prioritization
- Be able to take complex data sets and summarize them quickly into a comprehensive, yet simple story for Leadership
- Has ability to translate business requirements into technical coding language in order to provide data insights for senior leadership
- Manage and guide other resources within organization outside of immediate direct reports to facilitate a culture of growth and learning
- Facilitate an environment of data integrity to drive trust, alignment with Data Engineering partners, and stakeholders
- Ideate models that can be leveraged and built to better improve Pricing and Finance processes that provide better financial metrics and other improvements
- Partner with business stakeholders to drive a collaborative environment and minimize gaps in deliverables
- Maintain organization of workload within outlined process within Data & Analytics organization (Jira)
- Support overall department philosophy of driving cohesion and collaboration to streamline interdepartmental processes
- Support broader management meetings such as: P&L meetings, Monthly or Quarterly Business Reviews, and other various Leadership meetings with visual or analysis support
Qualifications
- Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
- Advanced Excel skills with experience mining large data sets
- Advanced PowerPoint skills with ability to create concise stories that can be quickly digestible
- Advanced SQL Experience, GCP-Big Query experience with ability to quickly write queries
- Experience using Business Intelligence reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, MicroStrategy, Coefficient)
- Technical Skills: Must be proficient in Excel and SQL
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, information technology, computer science, business management/administration, or other equivalent degree is desired
- Ten or more years of Analytics experience
- 10+ years team leadership experience
- 10+ years experience in presenting and preparing presentation materials for senior leadership teams
- Strong leadership & excellent Interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative and dynamic team environment.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Strong analytical and interpretive skills.
- Ability to quickly identify business problems and opportunities.
- Be solution oriented and ideate, own, and streamline data solutions that could be leveraged for future business strategies and solutions
- Clear and straightforward communication skills, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel.
- Flexibility to meet in person as needed in Long Island City, NY office
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Capability to document, prepare, and present data-driven presentations.
- Strategic thinking and ability to anticipate future trends, needs, and expectations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient Experience in Python, R, Hadoop, Hive, and/or Impala
- Experience leveraging ThinkCell for Data Visualization
Ideal background would include a degree in: Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field - Strong background in Telecommunications
