The Director of Analytics oversees the company's reporting and data analytics strategy, leading efforts to turn data into actionable insights for business growth, manage data analytics and reporting infrastructure, define KPIs, and present findings to leadership. This role requires strong technical skills, strategic vision, and excellent communication to drive data-informed decisions
· Develop and implement the organization's overall data analytics strategy, aligning it with business objectives.
· Lead, mentor, and manage data analytics team, fostering professional development.
· Define, plan, and implement the organization’s reporting and analytics strategy, performing gap analysis of current analytics and reporting capabilities and recommending and implementing a plan to supplement and/or replace
· Manage multiple resources and projects concurrently to a successful completion.
· Drive the analysis of complex datasets to uncover trends, create reports, develop models (statistical, predictive), and provide actionable recommendations.
· Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop dashboards to monitor performance and inform strategic decisions.
· Present complex analytical findings in clear, non-technical language to executive leadership and other departments.
· Research and adopt new tools, technologies, and industry trends in analytics and machine learning.
· Collaborate with IT teams to ensure data infrastructure, systems, and tools are optimized for efficient data collection, storage, and analysis
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, information systems or a related field or equivalent work experience
· 7+ years of experience in analytics and/or reporting
· 3+ years of experience in a management or leadership capacity
· Familiarity and experience with cross-functional business domains (Finance, Sales, Marketing, Operations, etc.)
· Extensive experience in data analysis and visualization tools such as SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar
· Experience with strategic planning using quantitative techniques
· Experience working with large datasets and using statistical analysis techniques
· Proficiency in data modeling and data manipulation
· Knowledge of data governance principles and practices
· Knowledge of data visualization best practices and tools
· Strong business acumen and the ability to connect data insights to business objectives
· Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
· Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
· Strong leadership and management skills
· Travel Requirements: None
Preferred:
· Certification in relevant analytics tools or methodologies.
· Advanced degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a related field
· Experience with white-label reporting platforms like Reporting Hub, DataTako, PodiumBI, DashThis, Sisense or similar
