Analysts create must-have insights for our clients through published research and client interaction helping solve organizational challenges that lead to better performance.

As part of Gartner’s Corporate Assurance Practice, you will join a dynamic team focused on advising Enterprise Risk Managers, Chief Audit Executives and other legal and compliance leaders best practices related to a broad range of topics in the risk universe including enterprise risk program and process management, emerging risk management and analytics, and risk monitoring and mitigation. As AI is impacting all organizations and all roles you will assess and address the impact of AI on Risk leaders, risk functions, risk monitoring, etc.

This role will meaningfully expand coverage for the practice, and we are looking for an entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and ideas-driven individual to help serve clients related to the topics below.

What will you do:

As a Gartner analyst, you will engage with clients every day: on the phone, in videoconferences, or even the stage at a Gartner event. To support these conversations you will research technology, practices, trends and produce research for Gartner clients to view online or download and apply. You will:

  • Create insightful and actionable research for Heads of Enterprise Risk Management, on Enterprise risk program and process topics; how to use analytics to measure and predict risk; how to use data and other sources to report on enterprise risks; Risk Quantification, etc.
  • Remain ahead of the curve on developments and issues within these specified areas by understanding the broader market and ecosystem related to risk management, emerging risks and analytics, partnering with experts internally, and learning from our clients’ best practices.
  • Maintain Gartner’s industry leadership reputation by thoughtfully responding to press inquiries.

What you will need:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 + years of experience within GRC, IRM, risk management and analytics or related fields or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of and experience with the Head of Enterprise Risk Management role, the obligations, and requirements of ERM programs, and risk management (risk assessment processes, key stakeholders involved, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of key ERM frameworks such as COSO 2017 or ISO 31000 (2018)
  • Experience and interest in advising, presenting to, and writing for the most senior levels of an organization (e.g., Head of Risk/ERM, Chief Audit Executives, GC, Chief Compliance & Ethics Officer, CEO, and Board of Directors)
  • Demonstrated executive presence; with the ability to immediately establish credibility with executives and additional stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to navigate highly matrixed environments
  • Ability to effectively adjust communication style to different audiences

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 132,000 USD - 167,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Our talent acquisition team will provide the specific opportunity on our bonus or incentive programs to eligible candidates.
