The Director, Actuary is responsible for leading new business underwriting of commercial value-based care 
contracts. This teammate will manage a small but growing actuarial manager and analyst team responsible for
validating and transforming data receiver from external payers, modeling the economics of new contracts, and 
developing recommendations on pricing to our payer partnerships team. Duties also include enhancing 
enterprise risk management capabilities, applying predictive models, researching health care industry trends, 
and developing and delivering executive-level presentations

Lead new contract actuarial underwriting process, from data transformation to 
final recommendations to business leaders
2. Manage teammate productivity and performance within new business lane of 
the DaVita actuarial team
3. Support enterprise risk management process and capability development 20%
5. Other duties as assigned.

The Salary Range for the role is $146,600.00 - $215,300.00 per year.

If a candidate is hired, they will be paid at least the minimum wage according to their geographical jurisdiction and the exemption status for the position.

New York Exempt: New York City and Long Island: $64,350.00/year, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $64,350.00/year, Remainder of New York state: $60,405.80/year New York Non-exempt: New York City and Long Island: $16.50/hour, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $16.50/hour, Remainder of New York state: $15.50/hour

Washington Exempt: $77,968.80/year Washington Non-exempt: Bellingham: $17.66/hour, Burien: $21.16/hour, Unincorporated King County: $20.29/hour, Renton: $20.90/hour, Seattle: $20.76/hour, Tukwila: $21.10/hour, Remainder of Washington state: $16.66/hour

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
