The Digital Media Producer will lead the planning, creation, and delivery of multimedia content across editorial and community platforms. This role blends video and audio production, cross-channel content packaging, and editorial coordination – with an emphasis on storytelling that resonates across formats and channels.
Ideal candidates are agile, entrepreneurial professionals with strong media instincts and expertise producing across multiple media. You’ll report directly to the founder and work with contributors to develop and publish content that engages our audience and drives growth. You will play a key role in enhancing our online presence.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, produce, and publish high-quality multimedia content (videos, graphics, articles, podcasts, etc.) for web, social media, and other digital platforms with the goal of driving organic audience growth
- Collaborate with founder and contributors to package multimedia stories from ideation to final cut
- Own and update editorial calendar in coordination with content, events, and campaigns
- Coordinate production schedules/workflows for editorial, podcast, and event-related content
- Ensure published content is on-brand, accessible, and aligned with editorial standards
- Capture and edit footage from interviews, panels, and live/virtual events, as applicable
- Design assets and thumbnails, or guide designers on production needs
- Optimize content for different platforms, including formatting, titling, and timing
- Manage publishing processes across CMS, podcast host, and video platforms
- Monitor content performance and apply insights to iterate and improve creative output
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of hands-on experience producing multimedia content in a digital media or content-first environment
- High degree of comfort receiving and implementing feedback while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Excellence in developing and managing production timelines and working cross-functionally with editorial and leadership, using systems or tools to streamline project management
- Problem-solving mindset and optimistic approach: you’re not waiting for someone to assign you tasks – you’re already doing them
- Self awareness, adaptability, and exceptional sense of accountability
- Solid understanding of how social and digital storytelling, especially short-form content, drive audience growth
- A portfolio showcasing multimedia content work
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Asana or similar) and lightweight content or editing tools (e.g., Canva, CapCut, Descript, Figma, Audition, Veed, Adobe, etc.) – whatever gets the job done fast
- Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Webflow, Squarespace), podcast hosts (e.g., Spotify for Podcasters), and YouTube Studio
- Ability and readiness to work US East Coast hours (~8AM-4PM ET)
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience producing in journalism/news, media, or content-led organizations
- Experience working with high-profile creators, executives, talent, or celebrities
- Experience working with contributor networks or in creator-focused media
- Experience with motion graphics or animation (After Effects, Canva, etc.)
- On-set production experience (lighting, audio, multi-cam setup)
- Interest in community-building or event-based media content
