Job Description

 

Overview

The Digital Content Marketing Specialist will lead and drive delivery of content in the form of email, webpages, social media, blogs, infographics, consumable creative assets and more. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in writing and editing content, marketing campaigns, and building engagement strategies that deliver on business objectives and showcase our vision for the consumer. The ideal candidate will demonstrate command of brand voice, tone, positioning, and sound editorial judgment when it comes to content for facilitating and executing work that supports and optimizes the content lifecycle.


The Digital Content Marketing Specialist will collaborate closely with our Campaign & Demand Generation team and should be skilled at working collaboratively in cross-functional teams and with others at all levels of the organization.

Oversight:  This position has no direct reports

Role/ Responsibilities

  • Contribute to overall content lifecycle management, from creation and editing through approvals,publishing/activation, auditing, measurement, curation, optimization and maintenance, while meeting deadlines across all stages of the process
  • Write content and provide support in enhancing its engagement through creative elements. This may include collaborating with our design team on pre-made templates, assisting with infographics, graphic headers, and other visual elements, while leveraging existing design resources.
  • Guide, develop, execute, schedule, design and maintain strategies for content, communications, andengagement taking ownership of deliverables and outcomes
  • Support the Campaign & Demand Generation team in providing content aligned with their lifecycle and acquisition campaign strategy with a strong sense of accountability for timely execution
  • Use data analytics and insights to drive content decisions
  • Write and review content and drives content simplification and engagement in print and digital
  • Contribute to search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) initiatives with keyword optimization, content tagging, and metadata management
  • Drive marketing asset creation including infographics, sell sheets, PowerPoint presentations and other marketing collateral to effectively drive demand for our solutions
  • Contribute to content development and execution through blog and social media channels, supporting Onyx thought leadership objectives
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of KPIs, proactively identify opportunities, present rationalized solutions to organizational leaders
  • Advocates for a vision, drives commitment among cross-functional stakeholders, and solicits input and alignment from numerous cross-functional partners at all levels

Qualifications

Minimum required:

  • 4+ years of B2B marketing experience
  • Experience writing and reviewing/editing content and driving development and delivery of print and digital communications.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Creative and graphic design using Adobe Creative Suite and AI tools

Preferred:

  • Experience with software applications such as Salesforce, WordPress, etc. desired
  • Comfortable with researching and taking on new software to optimize content (adobe suite, Canva, SundaySky, Path Factory, Jasper AI, content writing tools, etc.)
  • Related market/industry experience is desirable. This includes but is not limited to the hospitality, travel,meetings & events, and commission payments industries.
  • Proficient in mapping and optimizing content to the customer lifecycle journey and sales cycle within the hospitality industry
  • Experienced in SEO, AEO, and GEO, with a strong track record of measuring content impact, search visibility,and audience engagement.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to frame objectives, recommendations, and results
  • Strong organizational, administrative, and priority setting skills
  • Detail and solutions oriented

 

Organizational  Interlocks

This position will work closely with both external and internal stakeholders.

 

Physical Demands/ Travel required

Work associated with this position is sedentary in nature and performed indoors at a desk either remotely or in an office setting

Travel for this position is less than 10%
