Location: Remote (All states except CA, CO, NY, WA)
Position: Full-time (Temporary)
Salary: $54,000/year

Authentic is an award-winning digital agency specializing in fundraising, advertising, creative and web strategy, online organizing, and more. We’re known for building innovative, people-powered digital programs that help elect Democrats and advance progressive causes. We are seeking a Digital Associate to join our Email team for a limited term of six (6) months.

This position pays a fixed starting salary of $54,000 annually, per our company’s transparent employee compensation policy, with industry-leading benefits including 100% employer-covered health insurance, 401K with employer contribution, flexible vacation and sick leave, and much more.

This is a union position represented by the Campaign Workers Guild.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, edit, proofread and fact-check, and produce fundraising, cultivation, and advocacy emails for clients including Democratic campaigns and progressive organizations, ensuring accuracy and clarity before publication.
  • Help shape and maintain each client’s unique voice and brand in digital content.
  • Build emails and donation pages in platforms like ActBlue, NGP, EveryAction, ActionKit, ActionNetwork, and other CRMs.
  • Engage in testing, targeting, and deliverability best practices to strengthen results
  • Support reporting and analysis of email performance, preparing client-ready and internal memos when needed
  • Brainstorm creative ideas and draft rapid-response emails tied to breaking news
  • Collaborate with strategists, designers, and paid media/content teams to deliver integrated campaign programs and brainstorm strategies
  • Use, evaluate, and provide feedback on new digital tools and emerging technologies being tested by Authentic to improve programs and workflows
  • Provide coverage on client accounts when needed and contribute to overall team success
  • Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated interest in electing Democrats and advancing the progressive movement
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn
  • Comfort with G-Suite tools (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.)
  • Interest in building skills in client management, copywriting, production, testing, and reporting
  • Commitment to learning, collaboration, and contributing to a positive team culture


Nice To Haves (Not Required)

  • Experience with HTML or email coding basics
  • Familiarity with CRMs (NGP VAN, ActionKit, ActionNetwork, Engaging Networks, etc.)
  • Previous campaign, advocacy, or digital experience through internships, coursework, or volunteer work

Additional Information:

  • Work environment: This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, etc.
  • Physical Demands: This is a largely sedentary role. The ability to look at screens for extended periods of time is required.
