Position Description

We are searching for a platform engineer that has passion for empowering developers by building automated tools, developing sustainable processes, and evangelizing a DevSecOps culture. This role is expected to be extremely hands-on, playing a pivotal role in building the foundation to enable our development organization to deliver software faster, safer, and more efficiently.

Major Areas of Responsibility

  • Collaborate with product owners, developers, and information security, to design, build, and maintain developer tools and processes that enable DevSecOps practices
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery and deployment
  • Design and architect reusable infrastructure patterns for scalability and high availability
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to eliminate repetitive tasks
  • Mentor and support developers in adopting DevSecOps practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends related to DevSecOps
  • Identify areas for architecture improvement and process enhancement
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and a knowledge base for developers

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Five or more years’ experience of following DevOps methodology and best practices
  • Proven experience as a platform engineer/developer supporting a SaaS product
  • Strong proficiency in AWS CloudFormation and CDK
  • Strong proficiency and experience in building GitHub Actions and Workflows
  • Strong experience with containerization technologies and Kubernetes
  • Experience designing, building, and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience building/configuring tools to monitor production environment health
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.

Optional: Nice to Haves

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect
  • Proficient in Python, NodeJS, Typescript
  • Experience building distributed systems with HA patterns
  • AI/ML Ops experience

The anticipated salary range for this position is $130,000 - $160,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. iBusiness Funding provides a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage; 401(k) with company match, and paid time off.
