DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer (Mid-Level) to support the U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Integrated Booking System (IBS) program. This role supports secure, automated software delivery through CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and security integration.We are looking for an engineer who enjoys building reliable systems and improving developer workflows. You will help maintain and evolve GitLab-based CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes environments, and security integrations.The IBS technology stack includes Angular (TypeScript) and Java (Spring Boot), and this role requires familiarity with these technologies to support build, deployment, and troubleshooting activities.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesCI/CD Automation & Build Systems- Support design, maintenance, and improvement of GitLab CI/CD pipelines
- Optimize workflows to improve build reliability and speed
- Promote reusable pipeline patterns across teams
- Support Kubernetes deployments using Helm
- Maintain stable environments across development, test, and production
- Troubleshoot containerized workloads and environment issues
- Execute and interpret Fortify, SonarQube, and similar scans
- Collaborate with developers to triage findings
- Integrate security into pipelines without disrupting delivery
- Partner with Angular and Java teams to improve workflows
- Communicate clearly on issues, risks, and improvements
- Develop runbooks, documentation, and system diagrams
- Support onboarding and knowledge sharing
- Contribute to DevSecOps improvements across automation and security
- Evaluate tools with focus on simplicity and effectiveness
- Active Secret Clearance
- IAT Level II certification (CompTIA Security+ CE required)
- 3–5 years of DevOps/DevSecOps experience
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD
- Strong Linux and Bash scripting skills
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker
- Working knowledge of Fortify, SonarQube, or similar tools
- Familiarity with Angular (TypeScript) and Java (Spring Boot)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Experience supporting DoD systems
- Familiarity with DISA STIGs and RMF requirements
- Experience with AWS or cloud environments
- Experience with CI-integrated testing and quality gates
- Experience supporting release and deployment processes
