Integral Ad Science (IAS) is a global technology and data company that builds verification, optimization, and analytics solutions for the advertising industry and we’re looking for a Software or DevOps Engineer Intern to join our CI/CD team. If you are looking for an inside view into how software orgs work from the lens of an internal tools team, then this is the internship for you.

As a Software Engineer Intern for the DevOps Platform, you will be part of the team implementing CI/CD and DevOps tools and best practices to remove pain points, speed up the development process, visualize complex systems, and enhance our internal Observability. You’ll write code that deploys to cloud environments and work alongside senior engineers responsible for tooling and infrastructure.

What you’ll get to do:

  • Create Grafana and Prometheus based monitoring of our CI/CD system health
  • Develop continuous integration, deployment as code, and write Jenkins pipelines
  • Learn about a wide breadth of build tools, frameworks and languages
    • Our tools support projects using Java, Python, TypeScript, Golang, Scala, Kotlin, Helm 
    • Our internal tooling code is mostly in Groovy, shell scripts, and Python
  • Gain experience developing, debugging and testing features both locally and in cloud based test environments
  • Learn to sleuth! Have ownership of assigned tasks and projects, proactively tackle problems, and suggest resolutions

You should apply if you have most of this experience: 

  • Coding experience in Python, Java or similar
  • Coding experience in a shell language like bash or similar
  • Ability to collaborate as part of a mostly-remote team
  • Passion for technology, intellectual curiosity and desire to learn and grow
  • Desire to improve the software development lifecycle
  • Interest or experience with DevOps practices
  • Experience in Linux Administration or using Linux distributions
  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) tools
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker
  • Familiarity with working in a cloud environment
  • Experience using Version Control Systems like Git
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

This is a full-time, 10-week internship running from June 2 to August 8, 2025, and the pay is $30/hour. Applications are due by April 7, 2025
