Bitcoin Depot is seeking a DevOps Manager with a primary focus on maintaining and administering our company’s cloud infrastructure environments. The DevOps / Platform Manager is responsible for the reliability, scalability, and delivery of the company’s cloud and platform infrastructure. This role leads the DevOps team, owns CI/CD pipelines, and ensures systems are resilient, secure-by-design, and support rapid product development. 

Bitcoin Depot is the largest Bitcoin ATM Network in the world offering users the ability to buy and sell Bitcoin at thousands of BTM and BDCheckout locations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the DevOps team and management of Bitcoin Depot cloud infrastructure.
  • Migration of applications/services from cloud providers to AWS.
  • Work alongside the software engineering team to develop CI/CD pipelines
  • Development of Terraform scripts for deployment of application/services in AWS infrastructure.
  • Monitoring and assisting in resolving system issues as they arise.
  • Ensure high availability, performance and cost efficiency of cloud infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with Software Engineering, IT Operations, and Security teams.

Qualifications: 

  • 3+ years management of DevOps team.
  • Minimum 2+ years experience working with AWS cloud environment  (required). 
  • Experience with building out secure infrastructure ( AWS well architecture framework). 
  • Experience working with ECS clusters and Docker containers.
  • Experience working with Linux operating systems - Ubuntu, Amazon Linux 2 preferred  .
  • Working knowledge of firewalls and security such as VPC, NSG, subnet, ACL, and port configuration based on the principle of least access.
  • Experience w/ IaC scripting in Terraform.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Github actions.
  • Experience in the development of technical documentation and architecture designs.
  • Strong technical background and problem-solving skills resolving system issues as they arise. 
  • Ability to prioritize a wide range of workloads with critical deadlines.
  • Availability outside of working hours to resolve emergency issues promptly.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • AWS SysOps, DevOps, or Solution Architect Associate Certification preferred.
  • Relevant Degree or Diploma in Information Systems desired.
