We're a team of thoughtful, high-performing individuals committed to making a tangible impact. If you're looking for a dynamic environment where you'll be supported with exceptional mentorship and resources to grow your career, come build with us.
The Role
As a DevOps Engineer at Apptegy, you will play an essential role in building, maintaining, and improving the infrastructure that supports our growing suite of products. You’ll work closely with software engineers to ensure our systems are scalable, reliable, and secure, while driving continuous improvement in our deployment and monitoring processes.
You’ll be part of a collaborative and fast-paced environment where you’ll automate workflows, optimize CI/CD pipelines, and contribute to the stability and performance of our cloud infrastructure. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, takes ownership of their work, and is eager to make a measurable impact on how we build and deliver software.
What You’ll Do
- Design, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment and testing processes.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure infrastructure and application reliability, scalability, and security. Assess the balance between cost and performance.
- Automate repetitive tasks and operational workflows to increase efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure in AWS using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Implement and monitor observability tools, ensuring system performance and availability.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues, providing quick resolutions to minimize downtime.
What You’ll Bring
- 3–5 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability, or Infrastructure Engineering.
- Strong understanding of cloud environments, preferably AWS, including EC2, RDS, S3, and related services.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CircleCI.
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Ruby for automation and tooling.
- Understanding of networking, security, WAF, and system performance principles.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with a focus on reliability and continuous improvement.
At Apptegy, we value skills and experience. For the majority of our roles, equivalent professional experience may be accepted in place of a higher education degree.
What Makes You Stand Out
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as AppSignal, Grafana, or Prometheus.
- Exposure to software development environments using Ruby on Rails or similar frameworks.
- Experience improving deployment reliability and reducing time-to-ship through automation.
- Strong curiosity about emerging DevOps and cloud technologies and how they can improve developer experience.
- Experience using or integrating with LLMs or LLM frameworks (LiteLLM, AWS Bedrock).
