Repisodic recently merged with Trella Health with the combined goals to transform care transitions and advance patient-centered outcomes. Read more about this partnership here.
Position Overview:
The Repisodic Development team is a fast-moving, high-quality group focused on solving one of healthcare’s most complex challenges: patient discharge. We are growing rapidly and are expanding the scope of our work and the team to solve it. To help us do that, we are looking for a hands-on Software Development Manager with an outstanding technical skillset to manage the team, strengthen our development processes, and ensure we ship reliable, secure software to our customers.
This role blends people leadership, technical execution, and operational ownership. You’ll define how we build, test, and ultimately release software—and stay closely involved at every step, from requirements intake through production deployment.
We operate like a startup within a larger organization – highly collaborative, often challenging status quo, and always looking to get better. Come join us – but only if you’re looking to build something special!
Location: This is a hybrid position requiring 1 day a week in our Philadelphia office.
Reports to: Founder & CEO of Repisodic
As the Software Development Manager, you will:
- Lead, manage, and grow the Repisodic develop team through coaching, regular 1:1s, and performance reviews. Lead recruiting efforts for growing the team by interviewing/hiring/onboarding additional team members.
- Own the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from requirement decomposition through testing and customer deployment. Govern the product development lifecycle, from receiving product requirements, breaking down requirements to be worked on by the team, overseeing development work as it moves through development and testing process, and deploying it to customers.
- Work with the company’s Principal Architect and developers to design technical solutions that meet requirements with high quality, security and performance.
- Partner closely with Product and Customer Support/Success teams to clarify requirements, align on priorities and roadmaps, communicate progress, and minimize unnecessary context switching for developers.
- Build, maintain, and evangelize a security-first development culture across the SW Development Lifecycle, including secure code reviews, and integration of SAST/DAST tooling into the developer workflow. Collaborate closely with the Principal Architect and Security Officer on the security of technical designs. Work with Engineering and QA to identify security testing required with feature changes.
- Collaborate with the broader team to continuously improve QA practices, test coverage, and release confidence. Ensure pull requests, code reviews, and testing standards are treated as critical quality gates. Oversee the growth of test coverage and capability. Act as a sounding board on higher level development and bug hunting tasks.
- Represent the Engineering team across Repisodic and the broader Trella organization.
This job might be a fit for you if you have:
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2 years in a technology leadership role.
- Experience scaling and leading engineering teams in high-growth B2B SaaS or digital health environments.
- Strong knowledge of modern tech stacks (e.g., React, Java, MySQL, AWS).
- Deep understanding of EHRs (Epic, Cerner, MediTech) and EHR integrations, interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7), and HIPAA-compliant architectures.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, capacity allocation, and performance tracking as well as working closely with product leaders to drive roadmap execution and innovation.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
