Description of Work

This position is expected to be available on June 23,2026.
This position serves as a key administrative support role for the Development Foundation of NCCAT, Inc., assisting with fundraising, donor relations, grant support, and foundation operations. Under the direction of the Development Associate, the employee conducts research, prepares materials, and communicates professionally with NCCAT staff, donors, partners, and supporters.
Job Responsibilities:
Maintain donor databases, grant records, and other development-related files while supporting the planning and coordination of events, campaigns, and special projects.
Assist the Development Associate with fundraising campaigns, sponsorship attainment, conducts research, and communicates effectively with NCCAT staff, donors and supporters as assigned.
Maintain donor, HES (Honored Educator Scholarship) Scholarship, grant, and a variety of office records, including related financial duties, by using established filing and data systems, functions, and/or procedures.
Prepare and manage correspondence such as donor acknowledgements and thank-you letters, assisting with fundraising communications, and supporting donor stewardship efforts.
Provides general administrative support to the Development Associate, Executive Director and Deputy Director. Provides grant support and grant administration as directed by NCCAT Leadership and/or Development Associate.
Perform other administrative duties as assigned, including record maintenance.

Recruitment Range: $41,206.00 - $41,704.00

The North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT), founded in 1985 with a mission to advance teaching as an art and a profession, is dedicated to serving pre-K through 12th grade educators in order to enhance the learning of the children of North Carolina. The goal of NCCAT is to support teachers to positively impact the quality of public education in North Carolina. The Center’s primary purpose is to provide high quality professional learning through residential, regional, school-based, and online programming. Program content is based on current needs of teachers and state initiatives. This unit exists as the primary development and fundraising arm of NCCAT.

Minimum Education and Experience

High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
