The compensation for this position is commensurate with experience, with a range between $120,000 - 160,000 USD in on target earnings.

Responsibilities:
- Own the advocacy strategy: Define and execute programs aligned with the long-term goals of awareness, trust, and community-led advocacy.
- Drive developer brand presence: Increase Apryse visibility through community participation, technical content, events, and third-party developer engagement.
- Manage and scale advocacy programs: Identify and support developer advocates (internal and external) who can amplify our reach and credibility.
- Oversee content strategy: Coordinate with internal contributors (engineering, marketing, research) to create high-quality blogs, talks, demos, and tutorials.
- Build feedback loops: Establish mechanisms to gather qualitative insights from developers and route them back into product, marketing, and documentation efforts.
- Define and track metrics: Report on activity metrics (e.g. talks, posts) and engagement metrics (e.g. shares, mentions, word-of-mouth referrals).
- Partner across functions: Collaborate closely with Engineering, Marketing, Product, and Community teams to ensure alignment and avoid siloed efforts.
Requirements:
- 5+ years in Developer Relations, Developer Advocacy, or a related field in a technical company (SDK or platform experience strongly preferred).
- Background in software engineering or technical writing; ability to understand and communicate complex technical topics clearly.
- Proven track record of growing developer engagement and brand affinity.
- Experience leading community-building initiatives or ambassador programs.
- Excellent cross-functional leadership and communication skills.
- Comfortable being the public face of technical content, online or at events.
- Strong understanding of what makes developers tick - especially those who are marketing-averse, highly technical, and community-oriented.
Assets:
- Experience working in the document, SDK, or B2D (business-to-developer) space.
- Familiarity with open-source community engagement models.
- Exposure to developer SEO/SEM strategy and event-based developer outreach.
