Developer - Oracle

Job Summary

R+L Carriers Information Technology Department is growing and has an immediate opening for a Senior Oracle Developer. Successful candidates will work within the Information Technology Department performing development and optimization activities in the SQL/PLSQL programming language in Oracle 19c or higher. The candidates will be key members of an interdisciplinary team supporting the company’s enterprise software development initiatives, working with different stakeholders to understand real world business requirements and to develop or optimize enterprise level solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Develop PL/SQL Packages, Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, SQL statements in Oracle 19c 

• Performance Tuning including optimizing SQL code and PL/SQL packages

• Maintaining shared tooling including PL/SQL packages that facilitate partitioning and purging

• Index based optimization, including statistics gathering and optimizing execution plans

• Work with Oracle Enterprise Manager (Cloud Control) to monitor and optimize SQL statements

• Improve application architecture to prevent deadlocks in highly concurrent applications

• Monitor and reduce SQL plan degradation

• Implement SQL profiles and SQL plan baselines to help with critical production issues

• Provide mentoring and support to Oracle developers

Qualifications

• Extensive Experience (5+ years) in SQL and PL/SQL Programming in Oracle 19c 

• Proven Experience with Oracle Performance Tuning 

• Extensive experience supporting critical systems and providing technical solutions

• Experience working with high volume transactional databases

• Experience working with development tools like TOAD

• Experience working with OEM tools like Cloud control

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
