FlutterFlow is a leading visual development platform that revolutionizes the way teams create, design, and deploy applications. With over 2M users across 200+ countries, FlutterFlow enables teams to build apps without extensive coding knowledge. With an intuitive visual interface, granular control over app experience and cross-platform deployment capabilities, FlutterFlow is trusted by startups and Fortune 500 companies alike to accelerate their product development and deliver innovative digital solutions quickly and efficiently.

About the Role

We are looking for a Design Engineer who is excited about shaping the future of application development. In this role, you’ll work closely with our founders, engineers, and the broader team to craft intuitive, powerful, and scalable experiences for FlutterFlow users. You’ll be instrumental in defining not just what we build next, but how it looks, feels, and functions.

You are not just polishing interfaces — you are helping design and build a complex platform that makes professional-grade app creation accessible to everyone.

What You Will Work On

  • Partner with founders, product, and engineering teams to identify, prioritize, design and build new features that empower users.

  • Lead the design and execution of critical experiences — from new widgets and integrations to improving our code generation UX.

  • Work closely with users to gather insights, validate design decisions, and iterate rapidly on designs and features.

  • Create high-fidelity prototypes to communicate ideas, test hypotheses, and refine interactions.

  • Create pixel-perfect implementation of your designs yourself, and in collaboration with engineering

  • Raise the bar for UX quality across the entire FlutterFlow platform.

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of end-to-end experience, designing and building products, ideally within fast-paced startups or product-driven environments.

  • Able to demonstrate a portfolio of released products that simplified complex workflows for internal or developer users.

  • Relentless focus on understanding users' needs and advocating for the best experience possible, particularly for technical products

  • Skilled at bringing products to life through hands-on coding, and close collaboration with engineering teams

  • Thrive in ambiguity and love helping define both the problem and the solution.

  • Deep attention to detail — from polished interfaces to thoughtful microinteractions.

  • You are excited to collaborate across global teams and are willing to travel for quarterly team summits, including occasional international trips.

  • Located in North American or Western European timezones

Bonus Points

  • Experience designing for developers: platforms, IDEs, or technical products.

  • Fluency in prototyping tools (Figma, Framer, Protopie, etc.)

  • Basic understanding of Flutter.

Perks & Benefits
We are a globally distributed company - 15 countries and counting! While our benefits offering varies from country to country, our goal is to provide competitive and comprehensive benefits to every member of our team, no matter where they live and work.
