The Deputy Account Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting executive stakeholders and overseeing the operational management of key accounts within the Health and Human Services industry. This position requires solid leadership and contract management skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement. With responsibilities ranging from risk oversight and federal certification activities to backing up the Account Manager and balancing multiple projects, the Deputy Account Manager ensures the delivery of high-quality programs and informed decision-making for both internal and external executive leaders.
This role will require routine travel to Charleston WV (on average once a month) as business needs dictate

The salary for this role will range from $134,600 to $230,800 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.

- Work with executive stakeholders to understand overall strategic priorities
- Involved in day-to-day operational management of the account
- Continuous oversight of risks, issues, requirements, and enterprise components aligned with contract requirements
- Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, and present information and findings to internal and external executive leaders
- Provides execution support and informed recommendations to enable effective decision-making, contract delivery and State engagement.
- Supports overall contract management
- Oversight and leadership with federal certification activities and audits
- Influence continuous improvement of the quality of the program
- Backup for the Account Manager when unavailable
- Use range of tools including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Project, Purview, and Visio
- Balance multiple projects and priorities
- Excellent problem-solving skills, including managing multiple priorities, and conflict resolution

Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of leadership experience in the Health and Human Services industry
- 2+ years supporting and working directly with an IT organization
- Experience working with executive leaders to understand overall strategic priorities and influence outcomes
- Contract management experience
- Proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Able/willing to travel approximately 25% of the time as business needs dictate to Charleston WV
- Able/willing to work Eastern Time Zone business hours (8am-5pm Monday - Friday) regardless of remote base location
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- Proven knowledge of federal requirements for Human Services Programs (CMS, FNS, ACF, OCSS, IRS)
- Proven knowledge of The West Virginia Department of Human Services
- Contract writing experience
- P&L Ownership or forecasting experience
