As our Denials & AR Manager, you will be responsible for the appropriate management of the department’s accounts, inventory, and workflows as well as employee development, recruitment, client meetings and auditing for all account inventory. Every day, you will oversee the areas of inventory management, employee training and development, process and case audits, and management of the department Supervisor(s) and Leads.

Have experience training and coaching other team members along with identifying and recommending coaching and/or remediation plans.
Have in-depth denials and appeals experience including working the high dollar/complex claims, inventory management experience, and experience with clients.
Have a deep understanding of workflows.
Here is what you will experience working in this role:
Responsible for the direct oversight of department supervisor(s).
Ensures staffing levels are adequate to cover current inventory and communicate inventory changes as needed.
Responsible for ensuring that revenue targets are met.
Ensures staff quality reviews and yearly / mid-year appraisals are completed timely.
Captures, manages, and reports trends for delivery to client.
Participates in monthly client meetings.
Ensures staff meets or exceeds all performance standards and goals set by management
Manage and audit inventory including but not limited to reconciliations, client reporting, workflow processes.
Responsible for high dollar account closures and aged AR
Work with multiple computer systems and hospital collection systems.
Role Details:
Directly manage 2-5 supervisors who oversee 25+ associates in Billing, Follow-up, Collections, and Denial Appeals processes
Lead and direct a staff of supervisors, leads and associates
Serve as a mentor to current team by consistently displaying the R1 values
Directly contribute to the execution of business strategies within individual teams and across the organization.
Manage and monitor individual performance metrics on a weekly basis.
Monitor, develop, and manage workflows to drive performance against KPIs and client needs.
Maintain quality audit processes across the business
Identify automation and optimization opportunities
Maintains a relationship with R1 and clients
Develop and implement recommendations and provide formal feedback on project results and team performance to management.
Ability to create detailed reports for management.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of all information under HIPPA guidelines.
Other responsibilities as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5-7 years of Revenue Cycle experience
- Minimum 3 years Leadership experience
- Minimum 2-3 years of Denial Prevention experience
- Expert knowledge in Billing, Follow Up, and/or Denials Appeals processes
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Problem-solving mindset
- Outstanding time management skills and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks while remaining self-directed.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an accredited university
- Certified revenue cycle management experience
- Prior continuous improvement experience utilizing Lean Six Sigma tools
For this US-based position, the base pay range is $69,556.00 - $114,234.05 per year . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.This job is eligible to participate in our annual bonus plan at a target of 10.00%
