As a Demo Infrastructure Engineer, you will build and maintain the demo infrastructure for Tractian, focusing on systems integration, performance monitoring, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance customer demos.

At TRACTIAN the Go-To-Market team is a global department that supports Tractian GTM teams across the US, Brazil, and Mexico. We are a foundational team that is building the data infrastructure, systems, and processes that support our GTM team and directly impact our customer experience. 
What you'll do
As Tractian’s Infrastructure Engineer (Demo), you will own the technical demo infrastructure that powers how our product is showcased to customers. You’ll operate as a full-stack engineer, building and maintaining the systems, data pipelines, and integrations that make our demo environments realistic and scalable. Your work directly enables our sales teams to deliver world-class demos that win deals.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build demo infrastructure: Develop and maintain the backend and frontend systems that power Tractian’s demos, including APIs, data pipelines, databases.
- Manage demo data generation: Build tools and scripts to simulate real-world scenarios in demo environments.
- Manage uptime and reliability: Monitor and optimize demo environment performance, ensuring minimal downtime and fast recovery for sales calls, trade shows, and executive presentations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with Product, Sales, and Engineering to ensure the demo stack incorporates the latest features and accurately reflects production environments.
- Build internal tools and dashboards: Provide internal APIs, dashboards, and admin tools that let AEs, SEs easily deploy, reset, or configure demo environments on demand.
- Version and document: Maintain strong documentation and version control of demo assets, infrastructure configurations, and deployment scripts for reproducibility.
- Continuously improve: Analyze usage metrics, environment performance, and sales feedback to prioritize new features and enhancements in the demo ecosystem.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Experience with ReactJS, NodeJS, Typescript, non relational databases like MongoDB, ScyllaDB.
- 2+ years of experience in Demo Engineering, or a software engineering role.
- Experience training and enabling sales teams on how to deliver technical demos effectively.
- Ability to create structured, repeatable demo processes that scale across global teams.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Aligns with the mission and values of Tractian.
