Who is Rainforest?

Rainforest is an early stage payments-as-a-service startup that has developed a solution that makes monetizing payments for vertically focused software platforms fair and simple.

We focus on small-to-mid sized platforms that want to add value to their small business customers through embedded payments — and want to do so without adding operational or regulatory burdens or costs.

Led by a successful repeat fintech founder with deep knowledge of the industry, and with venture backing from a Top 10 VC firm, Rainforest is well positioned to make an impact in the payments-as-a-service space, and we're looking for new team members who want to be a part of this journey!

What are we looking for?

Rainforest is looking for a Demand Gen Manager to join our Growth Marketing team and turn our highest-value target accounts into pipeline. You'll create and capture demand from a defined list of vertical SaaS platforms, running account-based campaigns across paid channels, events, content distribution and marketing-led outbound. You'll partner closely with Marketing Operations, who surface the signals that tell us an account is ready to talk, and you'll be the one who acts on them.

This is a hands-on role for someone who would rather launch a campaign than build another dashboard. You'll know you're the right candidate when you think about one question every day: what can I do to get more pipeline in the door? You test constantly, you're comfortable when an experiment fails as long as you learn from it, and you can write the ad and email copy yourself.

The Demand Gen Manager is a remote position, with a strong preference for candidates in the Eastern Time Zone. Expect travel about four times a year for company events and team on-sites.

What are some of the high-impact opportunities you'll tackle?

  • Owning account-based campaigns for our Tier 1 and Tier 2 accounts, from segmentation and research through launch and optimization

  • Building tailor-made, multichannel campaigns for small segments of high-priority accounts, with personalized one-to-one outreach and content

  • Owning paid channels, primarily LinkedIn and Google, and testing new ones to improve performance quarter over quarter

  • Turning account signals (funding announcements, website visits, warm introductions, social engagement) into meetings and pipeline

  • Running marketing-led outbound, including direct mail and gifting programs

  • Getting more pipeline out of events by maximizing engagement and follow-up before, during and after

  • Partnering with our content team to improve distribution and the conversion from content to meetings

  • Working with Marketing Operations to make sure every campaign is measured and every signal is captured in HubSpot

  • Working cross-functionally with Sales to understand lead quality and double down on what's working

This opportunity is for you if you have / are:

  • 3+ years of B2B demand generation, ABM or growth marketing experience

  • Experience running B2B campaigns against a defined target account list of a few thousand accounts or fewer

  • Experience running paid campaigns targeted at named accounts

  • Strong writing skills across email and ad copy; you don't need a copywriter to ship a campaign

  • A track record of turning event attendance into qualified pipeline

  • Hands-on experience with HubSpot or a similar CRM, and familiarity with GTM tools such as Clay and Apollo

  • Curious and driven, with a high velocity of testing and learning

  • Single-minded focus on generating pipeline, measured by opportunities created rather than activity

  • Comfortable owning channels end to end in a fast-moving startup environment

  • Experience marketing to software, fintech or payments companies is a plus

We offer a comprehensive health benefits package, unlimited paid time off, paid parental leave, a fun and flexible working environment, and continuously invest in our people and our culture.
