The Deal Desk Lead is responsible for streamlining deal execution and driving operational efficiencies across the sales cycle, while managing commercial compliance for the business. This position will join our growing Revenue Operations team where they will forge strong partnerships with other business stakeholders, working cross functionally with Sales, Finance, Customer Success and Legal. A qualified candidate will have hands-on experience in the SaaS industry with an understanding of CPQ/CLM tools like Salesforce CPQ and Docusign.
Day to Day Responsibilities
Contract Management & Deal Execution
Draft, review, and manage customer agreements
Work in lock step with the Legal team on all agreement language and clause management.
Manage contract execution and reporting, overseeing workflows for accuracy and data integrity.
Own reporting of contract commercials and deliverables.
Ensure clean ticket hygiene and manage escalations toward month-end.
Pricing Analysis, Optimization and Reporting
Consult on pricing and discounting scenarios with Sales and Finance teams, running margin analysis to arrive at data driven outcomes.
Develop and track metrics to assess discount usage and trends over time.
Optimize process and pricing over time, in conjunction with Sales and Finance goals.
Strategic, Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Legal and Billing teams to develop and implement deal process, efficiencies, and pricing strategies.
Assess and optimize Deal Desk’s activities and initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy.
Training and Enablement
Maintain and update contract and pricing guidelines, internal SOPs, and Deal Desk enablement content
Communicate pricing analysis, deal strategy, and contracting approach to internal audiences, ensuring synchronization across the business.
Required Skills
Strong understanding of SaaS contract structures, pricing strategies, and revenue recognition principles.
Experience working with Salesforce, DocuSign, Zendesk (preferred) and contract lifecycle tools.
Exceptional attention to detail with proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple deal flows and deadlines.
Familiarity with SaaS customer agreement structures, comfort with internal legal counsel.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex processes clearly.
Strong proficiency in Excel
Self-starter with a process-oriented mindset and a passion for enabling sales success.
Minimum requirements include:
Prior SaaS and/or tech industry experience
Degree in field related to Business, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or similar requirements
Minimum 5+ years experience in Deal Desk, Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Pricing or similar positions
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to manage complex analyses, summarize, and implement recommendations
Prior work in cross-functional environments, with demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with sales and related teams
