We are looking for a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) with hands-on experience in Liquibase to support and enhance database deployment processes. This role is focused on automating database changes, ensuring consistency across environments, and contributing to modern DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database management and experience integrating database workflows into CI/CD pipelines. You will work closely with development and DevOps teams to streamline database releases and improve deployment efficiency. 

Location: 100% remote. Working hours are based on the US Central / Eastern Time Zone.

Job Description:

Technical Requirements & Soft Skills 

Technical Skills: 

  • +6 years of proven experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) or similar role. 
  • Strong hands-on experience with Liquibase for database change management and version control. 
  • Experience automating database deployment processes. 
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and pipelines. (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.) 
  • Solid understanding of relational databases. (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle) 
  • Knowledge of SQL scripting, query optimization, and database performance tuning. 
  • Experience working in cloud or hybrid environments (preferred). 

Soft Skills: 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams. 
  • Attention to detailespecially in deployment and change management processes. 
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to identify and implement improvements. 
  • Adaptability to work in fast-paced, evolving environments. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain database environments , ensuring high availability and performance. 
  • Design and implement automated database deployment processes using Liquibase. 
  • Integrate database changes into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery. 
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth and reliable database releases. 
  • Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues as needed. 
  • Maintain version control and documentation of database schema changes.
  • Ensure best practices in database governancesecurity, and compliance. 
  • Support environment consistency across development, QA, and production. 
  • Contribute to improving overall DevOps practices related to database management.
