Job Description

7-10 years experience in Database Administration.

Experienced with the design and development of complex data warehouse systems.  

Experienced in the creation of data models and familiar with star schema design patterns.  

Detailed knowledge and hands on experience working with Vertica, DB2(DPF) or Hadoop.

Systems engineering skills in database design, development of database tools like stored procedures and functions. 

Familiar with technologies like SAS and in-database processing for transformation of data. 

Comfortable working with multiple technologies and capable of learning and working with Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Cassandra, Vertica as well as traditional technologies like DB2, Teradata, Oracle, and SQL-Server.  

Participate in on-going initiatives and establish best practices. 

Experience with working with the developers/application team for performance tuning, query re-writing, and code development.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's Degree is Required
