Role Definition
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Scientist to join our Digital team in the US Drivetrain facility. This role is pivotal in developing data-driven solutions that directly support teams in the facility like Supply Chain, Quality, LEAN, and Operations.
What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and reporting solutions using Snowflake based SQL, Power BI, and Python.
- Build and deploy web-based applications using Django and Python, hosted on Azure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.
- Support ongoing automation efforts across the facility by integrating data science and software tools.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and performance across all applications and databases.
Skills you must have
- Business Statistics: Knowledge of the statistical tools, processes, and practices to describe business results in measurable scales; ability to use statistical tools and processes to assist in making business decisions.
- Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
- Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
- Programming Languages: Knowledge of basic concepts and capabilities of programming; ability to use tools, techniques and platforms in order to write and modify programming languages.
- Query and Database Access Tools: Knowledge of data management systems; ability to use, support and access facilities for searching, extracting and formatting data for further use.
- Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.
Top candidates will also have
- Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, Power BI, Django, or related programming languages.
- Familiarity with utilizing databases for SQL or application development.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Great communication and organizational skills.
Additional Information
- This position will close 8/15/2025 at 11:59 pm.
- The location for this position is East Peoria, IL (Building KK) and requires the employee to work a 5-day-a-week schedule onsite.
