Position Summary
The Data Scientist at CVS Health supports the analytics team in driving innovative strategies, leveraging advanced analytics and consultative problem-solving to drive incremental membership and margin for Aetna B2C Marketing segment. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, campaign operations, digital marketing analytics, and data growth analytics colleagues, this role ensures a cohesive and synergistic approach to achieving overarching growth objectives.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support Evidence-Based B2C Marketing Strategies by creation or utilization of models such as Segmentation, LTV, propensity models, implementation of A/B testing and experimental design with impact measurement/tracking.
  • Drive analytical innovation to address unresolved B2C Marketing challenges and growth opportunities .
  • Attend and serve as a key analytics stakeholder for weekly strategy, reporting, and update meetings throughout the year.
  • Discuss the efficiency, growth, and value of ongoing marketing campaigns.
  • Support pre-campaign setup forB2C campaigns, including audience pulling, data cleaning, and audience sizing to budget.
  • Support onboarding of final approved audiences to the current advertising platform.
  • Utilize Test/Control Analysis and media data to measure campaign incrementality and identify future improvements.
  • Evaluate and report on advertising spend in-flight, providing insights on overall ad standard performance, and identify course corrections as needed to maximize budgets.
  • Conduct after-campaign reporting, aligning enrollment with paid advertising campaigns and report on enrollment/audience quality and engagement, verifying audiences and overseeing the deployment of direct mail and emails.

Location: Hybrid work schedule at our Hartford, CT (preferred) or NYC office.
 

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years of analytically driven experience in B2B and/or B2C marketing and/or growth strategy.
  • 1+ years leading projects and meetings with key stakeholders.
  • 1+ years of programming experience with Python or R, SQL, and MS Office experience
  • Experience in analytics teams, with a focus upon impact and innovation. 
  • A proven track record of cross-collaboration in a matrixed organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise with common digital strategies and digital channels, including audience development and management, frequency vs reach, and impact assessment.
  • Change agent: demonstrated ability to create case for change.
  • Familiarity with segment-based demographic and ethnographic marketing concepts, common B2C data sources (Census or other demographic data, zip code, ad tags, DMA data). 
  • Experience with GCP a plus.
  • Knowledge of or experience with statistical (frequentist and/or Bayesian), machine learning, or deep learning methods. Use cases include multi-touch attribution (MTA), marketing mix models (MMM), customer segmentation and/or A/B Testing.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Master's degree preferred.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$79,310.00 - $173,040.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
