Remote – Work From Home

The Data Scientist role at Acceleration Partners (AP) is a remote, work-from-home position, as are all positions at AP (a structure central to our culture and vision to change the work/life paradigm). Some travel may be required for internal meetings, conferences, and other events.

The Role

Acceleration Partners is seeking a Data Scientist to join our growing team. This role will be instrumental in designing, building and scaling our proprietary enterprise platform, APVision, will power the future of affiliate and influencer marketing.

You will design, implement, and operationalize advanced statistical models, predictive algorithms, and experimentation frameworks that enable AP to deliver actionable intelligence to clients and internal teams. The ideal candidate combines strong technical acumen with a passion for solving complex business problems in marketing analytics. 

Top 5 Responsibilities

Advanced Modeling & Prediction

  • Collaborating with the development teams and analytics teams, you’ll be building, validating, and deploying machine learning and statistical models (e.g., time-series forecasting, causal inference, marketing mix models) to predict partner and channel performance within APVision.
  • Leverage Bayesian and other modern frameworks to solve ambiguous marketing challenges.

Data Engineering & Transformation

  • Partner with data engineering to structure, clean, and transform large-scale affiliate, influencer, and retail media datasets for analytics and modeling.
  • Contribute to the improvement of pipelines and processes that support scalable experimentation and model deployment.

Experimentation & Measurement

  • Design and analyze A/B tests, geo-experiments, and incrementality studies that measure the true impact of affiliate and influencer marketing campaigns.
  • Develop new metrics and evaluation frameworks to track success and uncover anomalies.

Strategic Insights & Recommendations

  • Translate model outputs into clear, actionable insights for clients and AP account teams.
  • Partner cross-functionally with delivery, product, and strategy leaders to drive adoption of data-driven recommendations.

Innovation & Thought Leadership

  • Research emerging methods and bring forward new approaches to attribution, forecasting, and ROI measurement across affiliate, influencer, and retail media.
  • Contribute to building AP’s reputation as a leader in data-driven marketing strategy.

What Success Looks Like

By 6 Months

  • You will have developed baseline predictive models for affiliate and influencer performance.
  • You will be working cross-functionally to support campaign measurement and experimentation initiatives.
  • Your insights will be directly influencing client strategies and internal product development.

By 1 Year

  • You will own and continuously improve a suite of predictive models and measurement frameworks that are core to AP’s analytics platform.
  • You will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, bringing data-driven clarity to client strategy, product direction, and market opportunities.
  • AP’s teams will be using your outputs regularly to guide client recommendations and strategic planning.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills
  • Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Engineering, or related quantitative discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of experience applying advanced analytics to solve business problems.
  • Proficiency in Python or R, SQL, and experience working with large-scale datasets.
  • Direct experience with affiliate, influencer, and marketing data — including transformations, attribution challenges, and performance measurement.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data and analytics ecosystems, specifically AWS (Redshift, S3, Glue), SQL-based data warehouses, and BI/reporting platforms such as Power BI.
  • Strong ability to translate model results into business insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience delivering marketing mix modeling, incrementality measurement, or geo-experiments end-to-end.
  • Knowledge of Bayesian modeling frameworks and causal inference techniques.
  • Proven ability to design analytics solutions that influence business decisions.
  • Familiarity with affiliate, influencer, or retail media ecosystems is a strong plus.
