In this role, you will:
- Develop and implement a branch analytics strategy, closely aligned with Consumer, Small & Business Banking objectives, emphasizing customer acquisition, retention, and satisfaction
- Lead, mentor, and expand a high-performing team of data scientists, analysts, and managers, cultivating a culture of innovation, inclusion, and continuous improvement
- Design, develop, and deploy advanced analytics solutions-including predictive modeling, machine learning, segmentation, and optimization techniques-to address challenges in branch performance, staffing, workforce management, and customer engagement
- Drive initiatives in branch staffing levels, workforce optimization, and resource allocation to ensure efficient operations and outstanding customer service
- Apply analytics to support CSBB strategy, identifying growth opportunities and improving customer outcomes for business clients
- Collaborate cross-functionally with technology, product, and operations partners to seamlessly integrate analytics capabilities across platforms and business processes
- Transform complex data and analytics findings into clear, engaging narratives and presentations tailored for executive audiences, including Branch Leadership and the CEO, influencing strategic direction and resource allocation at the highest levels
- Establish and monitor branch KPIs, utilizing data visualization and storytelling techniques to communicate insights effectively to broad audiences
- Advocate for data governance best practices, data quality, and ethical use of customer information, maintaining rigorous compliance with regulatory requirements
- Keep current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science, analytics, and financial services-especially those impacting branch analytics, workforce management, and small business banking
- Build and sustain relationships with internal and external partners, including vendors, academic institutions, and industry groups, to enhance analytics capabilities and talent pipeline
- 8+ years of data science experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of management or leadership experience
- Master's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics, economics, or computer science
- 8+ years of progressive analytics and data science experience, with a proven record of leadership in complex, matrixed organizations, ideally in financial services or retail banking
- Extensive hands-on experience in branch analytics, branch staffing and workforce management, and small business banking
- Exceptional storytelling skills, with demonstrated ability to distill complex data into compelling narratives for C-level stakeholders, Branch Leadership, and CEO presentations
- Deep experience working directly with executive leadership, including delivering impactful presentations and recommendations that influence strategy at the highest levels
- Strong expertise in machine learning, predictive modeling, and advanced statistical analysis techniques
- Proven ability to lead large-scale analytics projects that drive measurable outcomes and scale across geographies or business units
- Advanced proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala, and familiarity with big data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud environments (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Outstanding leadership capabilities; inspires, motivates, and develops talented teams while fostering collaboration and inclusion
- Superb communication and presentation skills, adept at translating technical insights into business value for all audiences
- Comprehensive understanding of data governance, privacy, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., CCAR, GDPR, CCPA) relevant to consumer and small business banking
- Strategic, analytically rigorous thinker, passionate about leveraging data for innovation and customer success
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Experience in branch network analytics, ATM optimization, omni-channel customer analytics, and workforce optimization in a financial institution
- Background in operations research, customer segmentation, and small business client analytics within a retail banking context
- Familiarity with visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms
- Recognized thought leadership through publications, presentations, or industry involvement
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
