The Data Product Manager for Data Platform Modernization is responsible for ensuring operational data source availability within the new operational data platform, overseeing data mapping activities to support integration and discoverability, and facilitating conversations with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive alignment and successful adoption. This includes supporting partner teams in consuming new data sources and coordinating across a large set of cross-functional teams to manage timelines and data availability in a project management capacity. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to drive alignment across technical and business stakeholders.
Core Responsibilities :
Ensure operational data sources are properly integrated and available in the modernized platform.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive metadata for all new data sources to support discoverability and governance.
Collaborate with analytics, engineering, and business teams to facilitate smooth consumption of new data sources.
Work across multiple teams to manage dependencies, timelines, and deliverables for data platform initiatives.
Track progress, identify risks, and communicate status updates to stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.
Contribute to best practices for onboarding and operationalizing data sources within the platform.
Qualifications:
5+ years of related business experience, including 3+ years in data product management
Proven ability to influence strategic planning and provide data-backed recommendations.
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in data management, IT, or related field.
Preferences:
Familiarity with cloud based data platforms, modernization initiatives, data integration and/or data engineering environments within the Financial Services Industry
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Experience with collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, Teams).
Understanding of metadata management and data governance principles.
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
