Cloud Platform Engineer

As part of our RVO Health Data Platform team, you will be a technical leader that helps support innovative projects for many of our businesses, including Healthline, Healthgrades, Optum Now, Medical News Today, Quit For Life and Wellos among others! We work in a highly collaborative agile environment supporting cloud infrastructure, data tooling, data security, and cost optimization.

To prioritize togetherness, culture, and accountability, RVO Health operates on an in-office work schedule. We expect employees to work from our South Charlotte office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week. You are welcome to work remotely Mondays and Fridays if you wish.

• Design, implement, and maintain the company's cloud infrastructure, SaaS applications, and cost optimization tools.
• Partner with Data Engineering teams to create visibility and awareness of security, infrastructure, and cost gaps and work to prioritize their resolution in a collaborative way.
• Embark on greenfield projects taking in requirements, designing and implementing them all the way through.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, and policies in accordance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA,PHI, PII).
• Stay informed of the latest developments in tactics, techniques, and procedures related to application & infrastructure, and AI advancements.

• At least 3+ years of experience in platform engineering or a related role.
• In depth and hands on understanding of cloud native principles, deployment architectures, and cloud services (AWS preferred)
• Hands on experience with Terraform
• Experience designing and implementing / deploying services and cloud solutions
• A general understanding of security frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., NIST CSF, HIPAA).
• Strong problem-solving and whiteboard style analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions in a dynamic environment.
• A working knowledge of cost optimization / reporting as it relates to SaaS spend
• A general understanding of the A.I landscape and evolving technologies

• Professional Data engineering experience
• In depth knowledge of cost optimization and reduction
• In depth knowledge of Databricks, Snowflake or other data tools
• Some understanding of software development and the SDLC

Pursuant to various state Fair Pay Acts, below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company. The following benefits are provided by RVO Health, subject to eligibility requirements.

• Starting Salary: $100,000 - $145,000*
