This role requires an independent self-starter who can ensure that information flows timely and accurately.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Validation & Cleansing: Implement automated data validation rules to ensure data quality and integrity, proactively identifying errors such as mismatched fields, missing data, or invalid codes (e.g., ICD, CPT);
  • Monitoring & Alerting: Sets up robust monitoring and alerting systems (e.g., via logs or dashboards) to detect processing failures, latency issues, or data anomalies in near real time.

What you need to have:

  • Eligibility and Claims Data: In-depth knowledge of eligibility, medical claims, pharmacy claims, and prior authorization data, including how these data sets are structured, interpreted, and used across the healthcare ecosystem;
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Competence in handling Protected Health Information (PHI) within HIPAA and other relevant regulatory frameworks, with a strong sense of data governance and security;
  • Proven experience writing and optimizing SQL queries to extract and analyze large datasets;
  • Knowledge of secure transport protocols (SFTP) and data encryption;
  • Strong understanding of ETL processes, data integration, system architecture;
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Comfortable working with cross-functional teams—customer success managers, data engineers, product managers, clinical operations, payer partners—to gather and validate requirements, clarify data definitions, and ensure timely delivery of data feeds;
  • Domain Communication: Capable of translating technical details into language that non-technical stakeholders understand, while also diving deep into technical specifics when collaborating with engineers;
  • Vendor & Partner Relations: Negotiates technical requirements and SLAs (Service Level Agreements) with external vendors, payers, and healthcare networks, ensuring seamless interoperability;
  • Detail-Oriented & Process-Driven: Capacity to maintain meticulous documentation of processes, to support troubleshooting and repeatability;
  • Problem-Solving: Thrives on diagnosing issues, reconciling data discrepancies, and proposing process improvements that reduce recurring errors and operational overhead;
  • Growth focused: Experience and desire to work in a fast-moving high growth environment and having the ability to plan, organize, prioritize and execute multiple activities/projects simultaneously.

What we would love to see:

  • Familiarity with data brokers like Availity or Change Healthcare, or familiarity with EDI workflows, especially 270/271 transactions;
  • 3+ years of experience in a data-centric role.

To ensure you feel good solving a big Human problem, we offer:

  • A stimulating, fast-paced environment with lots of room for creativity;
  • A bright future at a promising high-tech startup company;
  • Career development and growth, with a competitive salary;
