Data Management Specialist (Entry Level)
About the Role
We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Management Specialist to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in data management, operations, or business analytics. You'll play an important role in maintaining accurate, organized, and reliable data that supports key business decisions.
No extensive professional experience is required—we're looking for someone who is eager to learn, highly organized, and passionate about working with data.
What You'll Do
- Maintain, organize, and update data across internal databases and business systems.
- Review records for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Perform routine data validation, cleansing, and quality assurance.
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies by following established processes.
- Import, export, and manage datasets using spreadsheets and internal tools.
- Assist with database maintenance and documentation.
- Generate basic reports and support operational reporting needs.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity.
- Follow data management policies, security standards, and best practices.
- Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and data accuracy.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn new software and business systems quickly.
- Problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred
- Basic knowledge of SQL or willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with CRM, ERP, or database systems.
- Experience with data entry, administrative support, or business operations.
- Understanding of data quality, reporting, or document management.
- Experience using Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
