In this role, you will:
- Lead the Auto data management strategy, ensuring alignment with enterprise data governance policies, Auto operational needs, and regulatory expectations.
- Oversee end-to-end data quality programs across Auto systems, including origination pipelines, decisioning models, pricing data, customer information, dealer data, and servicing platforms.
- Drive data remediation efforts tied to operational issues, regulatory commitments, control gaps, or transformation programs within the Auto business.
- Partner with senior leaders across Auto Originations, Servicing, Risk, Technology, and Controls to identify data pain points, reduce defects, and accelerate data maturity.
- Manage Auto data governance processes, including data ownership roles, data definitions, lineage documentation, critical data element inventory, and metadata standards.
- Ensure disciplined execution of data controls, including monitoring routines, rule validation, reconciliation checks, and model data fitness assessments.
- Provide strategic guidance on Auto platform modernization initiatives, ensuring data requirements, lineage, and quality controls are embedded from design through implementation.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data professionals and managers, promoting a culture of operational excellence, inclusiveness, accountability, and transparency.
- Oversee budgets, staffing, and resource planning for Auto data initiatives.
- Represent the Auto data function during audits, regulatory exams, and senior risk reviews with confidence, accuracy, and clarity.
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of Data Management, Business Research, Analytics, or Project Management or leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 3+ years of management or leadership experience
Desired Qualifications:
- Ability to translate complex Auto data concepts into clear insights for senior leaders.
- Strong influencing skills working across highly matrixed Auto, Tech, and Risk environments.
- Experience improving data quality or controls within a lending or consumer finance business.
- Excellent communication skills with emphasis on risk transparency and clear documentation.
- Demonstrated experience to manage data governance workflows, business glossaries, and metadata assets, metadata management, data stewardship, and catalog adoption.
- Proficiency with tools to support data lineage, data discovery, and governance processes.
- Strong knowledge of Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) to design, monitor, and remediate data quality rules and controls.
- Familiarity with data observability tools such as Monte Carlo or Great Expectations to monitor data integrity across pipelines.
- Proficiency working with enterprise data platforms such as Teradata, Oracle, or SQL Server to support data evaluation and remediation activities.
- Experience with cloud data ecosystems such as Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, or GCP to support modern data architecture initiatives.
- Capability to work with ETL/ELT tools such as Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica Cloud, IBM DataStage, or Talend to understand data sourcing and transformation logic.
- Knowledge of data modeling platforms such as ER/Studio or Erwin to interpret logical and physical data models.
- Proficiency in SQL for data profiling, validation, and quality assessments.
- Familiarity with Python or R to perform advanced data analyses or verification activities.
- Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI to create dashboards supporting data quality and governance insights.
- Knowledge of Jira, Azure DevOps, or Rally to manage Agile delivery of data management initiatives.
- Experience using Aha! or Productboard to support roadmap development and prioritization for data initiatives.
