This role supports the design, development, testing, and maintenance of data integration solutions within the LII OneGL ecosystem, working closely with senior engineers and cross-functional partners. - Contributes to initiatives that improve the performance and reliability of data pipelines and related systems, working under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Supports testing cycles by executing test cases, developing moderately complex test scripts, and assisting with the creation of test transactional data.
- Assists in identifying, analyzing, and documenting data integration defects, escalating more complex issues as needed.
- Supports the implementation of functional and technical requirements by assisting with gap analysis, interfaces, enhancements, and configuration changes.
- Assists with documenting solution designs, architecture decisions, and development standards following established templates.
- Participates in the implementation of new business processes and application design changes with guidance from senior team members.
- Uses testing tools to execute tests and documents results for assigned components within modules or business processes on a mixed delivery team.
- Analyzes technology issues and supports recommendations to address identified gaps, with review and guidance from senior engineers.
- Supports implementation activities such as post-implementation support, cutover activities, and transition planning tasks.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
- Bachelor or Master`s degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3+ years of Data Integration engineering experience.
- Minimum 1+ years of experience with AWS services (Lambda, S3, Glue, Redshift), BI tools, and building end-to-end data pipelines.
- Foundational technical skills in data integration and development, including exposure to ETL tools, SQL, Python, APIs, and large-scale system integration concepts.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices & Dev Ops Principles, with experience applying them under established team processes.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders as part of a broader delivery team.
- Demonstrated collaboration, adaptability, and time-management skills when working with a globally distributed development team.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work through defined problems and escalate ambiguity appropriately.
- Working understanding of agile software development concepts and processes, including participating in backlog refinement, sprint execution, and collaborative scrum team practices.
- Demonstrates initiative and logical thinking, with the ability to understand customer requirements, follow design guidance, and learn to assess downstream impacts with support from senior team members.
- Ability to participate in discussions, workshops, and team decision-making, contributing ideas and supporting consensus under guidance.
- Experience supporting production systems or coursework/projects involving troubleshooting issues and assisting with enhancement requests and solution implementation.
- Exposure to, or interest in, the Insurance or Finance industry is preferred.
