Job Description
About the role:
Provide a brief overview describing the primary purpose and objectives of the role.
Responsible for the development and ownership of a business-aligned data governance and guidelines that enable impactful data & analytics powered use cases across GPD. Serve as a trusted partner to business units and supporting functions and LOCs, ensuring that data assets are leveraged to drive measurable outcomes. Advocate for the responsible and impactful use of data, aligned with industry best practices. Lead efforts to refine and harmonize data sourcing in line with business priorities.
How the job will contribute:
Data Governance Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and Align Data Governance Principles: Lead the creation and alignment of governance frameworks and standards in GPD that enable insights and analytics and maintaining global consistency.
  • Oversee implementation and adoption of data standards in relevant domains.
  • Review and refine processes to ensure adherence to data standards, while enabling agility and responsiveness to changing business needs.
  • Co-create above-brand Data governance with MCE and regions to implement this across all GPD LOCs
  • Partner with medical and access functions on data governance for medical & access insights.
  • Work with MDM and data architecture lead to ensure capabilities exist in ICC that make data governance sustainable and resource efficient.


Data Sourcing:

  • Optimize Data Sourcing: Analyze and enhance data purchasing and sourcing needs align with business priorities and maximize impacts and save opex.
  • Closely collaborate connect with DD&T and LOCs and functions to identify data sourcing needs especially in the HCP/HCE domain.
  • Ensure data sourcing needs and strategy are deeply aligned
  • Co-develop data literacy & data culture initiatives across GPD to elevate capabilities across the organization


Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership:

  • Support creation and facilitation Data Governance Councils
  • Partner with key stakeholders across GPD and DD&T to ensure alignment and integration data governance initiatives
  • Provide strategic guidance on the use of data governance to enable AI and digital tools to enhance customer experience.

  • Strong proficiency in data-driven decision-making and analytics platforms.
  • Deep understanding of Data, Analytics and AI applications within the healthcare industry.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements and compliance.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to drive cross-functional initiatives.
  • Proven track record of leading digital transformation projects in a large organization.
  • Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and influence decision-making.
