About the Role

As a Data Engineer at Atropos Health, you will turn healthcare data into information. You will clean, transform, and analyze large healthcare datasets and build tools that ensure data quality and consistency across our products. Working closely with commercial, medical, and data science teams,, you will translate requirements into working solutions and build and maintain data pipelines. Your work will help Atropos Health inform every clinical decision and research inquiry with personalized evidence.

Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain data pipelines to integrate, enrich, and map clinical data, claims, and other data from multiple sources

  • Conduct data quality checks and assessments on clinical datasets

  • Automate workflows in multiple public cloud environments

  • Use tooling such as Databricks, Bigquery, Redshift, and dbt alongside command line tools

  • Map data from one source into a common data model using SQL (required) and Python

  • Work remotely with an interdisciplinary team and maintain relationships with research, clinical, and commercial stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (Required)

  • SQL (any dialect) at least 2 years (Required)

  • Data experience at least 2 years (Required)

  • Interest in applying generative AI technology to healthcare data (Required)

Reporting

The Data Engineer reports directly to the Senior Director of Data Engineering, Philip Ballentine. Data Engineering is part of the Engineering organization.

Location

We are a remote first company! All applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and must not require, now or in the future, employer sponsorship.
