About the role:


As a Data Engineer for Accompany Health, you will be:


-A mission-critical, early part of our growing team (and company).

-Collaborate across the organization with various teams, including Product, Sales, and Clinical Operations, to rewire health care.

-Your choices will matter, and you will work across various teams to help execute the choices.

-You will build the products to integrate highly fragmented and dispersed healthcare services as an end-to-end experience.

-Be part of building a great engineering culture,  maintaining the balance and right tradeoff for building products for speed and tech debt. 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Learn to be a data champion and help others use data effectively
  • Begin to understand our data ecosystem and how different systems connect
  • Support the product team in translating business requirements into technical solutions
  • Develop knowledge of our platform's data architecture under guidance from senior engineers
  • Assist in implementing a reliable and efficient data infrastructure and pipelines
  • Follow established data engineering best practices and standards
  • Help maintain data pipeline architecture with proper monitoring
  • Contribute to assembling data sets that meet business requirements
  • Assist in building and optimizing data extraction, transformation, and loading processes
  • Collaborate with various teams to support their data needsHelp create and maintain data tools for analytics and data science teams

Desired skills and experience:

  • Enthusiasm for learning and problem-solving with a collaborative mindset
  • Programming knowledge in Python or Scala
  • Basic SQL knowledge and some experience with relational databases
  • Familiarity with data pipeline concepts (ETL/ELT processes)
  • Willingness to analyze data problems and suggest improvements
  • Some experience working with structured and unstructured dataUnderstanding of basic data transformation processes
  • Exposure to concepts like message queuing or data stores
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
