This is a twelve (12) week internship program starting in May 2026. You must be enrolled in college during the internship with a graduation date after August 2026.
Position Title: Data Engineer Intern
Position Summary
We are looking for a Data Engineering Intern eager to gain hands-on experience in database management, data pipeline development, and ETL processes. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced data engineers, building foundational skills in data integration and data quality management. Ideal candidates should have some experience in scripting (Python preferred) and a curiosity about creating effective data solutions to support business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines and ETL processes under supervision.
 
- Work with team members to identify data requirements and help ensure the accuracy and timeliness of data for projects.
 
- Support the maintenance of databases, focusing on performance and scalability.
 
- Write and edit scripts to automate tasks and processes (Python preferred).
 
- Participate in data quality checks and contribute to monitoring processes to ensure data integrity.
 
- Help troubleshoot database and data-related issues, supporting the team in finding solutions.
 
- Learn and stay current with database management trends and tools in ETL and data integration.
 
- Collaborate with team members to deliver the best customer experience possible.
 
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned. 
 
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field.
 
- Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases (MySQL is a plus).
 
- Experience with Python or similar scripting language through coursework or projects.
 
- Interest in data integration, ETL processes, and data modeling.
 
- Familiarity with cloud-based technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) is a plus.
 
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative approach.
 
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
