We are seeking a skilled Data Consulting Analyst to join the Defined Benefit (DB) Wealth Risk Transfer Team at Mercer in Ireland . This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
This role combines deep technical expertise with a strong client advisory focus, acting as a trusted partner to Trustees, Sponsors, and internal stakeholders. You will lead data-driven consulting engagements that support complex risk transfer projects, ensuring accurate data verification and strategic coordination to deliver impactful outcomes.
The role requires excellent communication, project leadership, and collaborative skills to drive successful client solutions in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the primary consulting liaison for Trustees and Sponsors, providing expert guidance and clear communication throughout risk transfer exercises
- Leading client presentations on data verification progress, proactively identifying and explaining data queries to support informed client decision-making
- Overseeing project timelines, ensuring transparent and timely updates to all stakeholders to maintain momentum
- Collaborating closely with Scheme Administrators, Trustees, Actuaries, Client Directors, and Sponsoring Employers to drive the data verification process to successful completion
- Evaluating proposals from data tracing agencies and advising stakeholders on optimal solutions to support project goals
- Designing and implementing standardized approaches for data verification projects to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness
- Preparing and managing budgets for data verification activities
- Mentoring junior team members and new colleagues, fostering professional development and knowledge sharing across the Wealth business
What you need to have:
- Excellent understanding of DB Pensions.
Previous experience in DB Pension Scheme Administration or Pension Payroll Administration may be beneficial
- Experience in pension scheme data management.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Attention to detail is critical.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Ability to manage simultaneous projects and to multiple deadlines.
- Drive greater efficiency in processes.
- Possess strong IT skills. (a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
