The Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting program data to support operational decision-making, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts. This role develops and maintains reports, dashboards, and data visualizations, ensuring the accuracy, security, and integrity of all program-related data. The Data Analyst collaborates closely with team members and stakeholders to identify trends, monitor key performance indicators, and generate actionable insights that align with organizational goals and federal requirements.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
•    Collect, clean, and validate large sets of program-related data from multiple sources.
•    Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and areas of concern or opportunity for the organization.
•    Develop, maintain, and update dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support program management and reporting needs.
•    Interpret data findings and present actionable recommendations to stakeholders and management.
•    Ensure the accuracy, security, and integrity of all data and analyses.
•    Prepare routine and ad hoc data reports for internal and external use, ensuring compliance with SSA, privacy, and other regulatory standards.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data needs, support project objectives, and streamline data collection processes.
•    Use statistical and analytical tools to perform quantitative and qualitative analyses.
•    Document methodologies, data definitions, and processes clearly for future reference and audit purposes.
•    Support data migration, data integration, and quality assurance initiatives as needed.
•    Stay current with best practices in data analytics, visualization, and privacy/security requirements.

Requirements:
•    Bachelor’s degree with 2–4 years of relevant data analysis or data management experience, OR
•    High school diploma or GED with 8–10 years of directly related experience in data analysis, reporting, or comparable roles.
•    Demonstrated proficiency using data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI, SAS, R, or Python).
•    Strong skills in data cleaning, validation, and statistical analysis.
•    Ability to interpret and present complex data in a clear, concise manner for both technical and non-technical audiences.
•    Experience creating reports, dashboards, and visual data presentations.
•    Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and data quality standards.
•    Familiarity with SSA, federal data privacy, and security requirements preferred.
•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration and reporting.
•    Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
•    Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in all work with sensitive data.

Clearance requirements:

Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a SSA Public Trust clearance
