Lumos is looking for a motivated and analytical professional to join our team as a Data Analyst I. In this role, you I will assist in the process of data modeling and analysis. The ideal candidate should have a data-driven, business-oriented mindset in data analytics, including mining, cleansing, and visualization to transform data into goal-oriented reports that drive innovation and growth. In conjunction with business analysts and product owners, the data analyst will work closely with leaders across care, marketing, product, sales, engineering and IT to support and implement high-quality, data-driven decisions.

Essential Functions

  • Supports initiatives for data integrity and normalization.
  • Generates reports from single or multiple systems and sources.
  • Updates and enhances existing reporting.
  • Trains end-users on new reports and dashboards.
  • Troubleshoots the reporting database environment and reports.
  • Evaluates changes and updates to source production systems.
  • Anticipates future demands of initiatives related to people, technology, budget and business.
  • Designs and implements solutions to meet these needs.
  • Ensures accuracy of data and deliverables with comprehensive policies and processes.
  • Adheres to regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • College degree and/or equivalent combination of education and work experience in related field required.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience with large datasets and various reporting tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or Einstein Analytics.
  • Experience writing or updating SQL scripts for data extraction and analysis.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportion to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position, accepts responsibility for own actions, and follows through on commitments.
  • The right candidate will also be proficient and experienced with the following tools/programs:
    • Expertise with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    • Experience with SQL.
    • Experience with analytics tools (Power BI).
    • Experience with Snowflake & DBT is a plus.
    • Experience with code repositories (bitbucket).
    • Ability to quickly learn additional platforms as needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent sedentary periods using computer, keyboard, and other peripherals.
  • Near-constant use of sight, speech, hearing, comprehension, and reasoning.
