eGroup Enabling Technologies is seeking a Data & AI Solutions Architect to join our growing Data, AI & Power Platform practice. In this experienced, client-facing role, you will drive the design and delivery of modern artificial intelligence and data solutions using Microsoft’s ecosystem – including Azure AI services (e.g. Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services, Azure Machine Learning), Microsoft Fabric, and Azure data platformswith Power Platform experience as a strong bonus. You will work closely with clients to understand their business needs and challenges, and craft AI-driven and data-driven solutions that optimize processes and unlock insights. This position is highly hands-on (approximately 80% focused on project execution), with the remaining time dedicated to continuous learning, research on emerging technologies, and occasional pre-sales support. The ideal candidate is an accomplished technical architect who can wear multiple hatsbalancing solution architecture, technical leadership, and implementationwhile effectively translating complex technologies into business value for stakeholders. This role is remote (continental U.S.) and reports to the Data, AI & Power Platform Practice Leader.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead end-to-end solution delivery: Take ownership of requirements gathering, solution architecture, detailed design, and full lifecycle implementation of Data & AI solutions for our customers. Serve as the technical lead on projects, ensuring that best practices in software development, testing, and deployment are followed. 
  • Architect AI solutions: Design and build AI/ML applications using Microsoft Azure AI technologiesincluding Azure OpenAI (GPT-based services), Cognitive Services, Azure AI Vision/Language, machine learning models, and Copilot/Copilot Studioto drive automation and intelligent insights. 
  • Develop modern data platforms: Design and implement scalable data engineering solutions using Azure data services (such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage) and Microsoft Fabric for unified analytics. This includes building and optimizing data pipelines (ETL/ELT), data warehouses/lakes and data models to support BI and AI workloads. 
  • Leverage automation & Power Platform (as needed): When appropriateutilize the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) to rapidly develop low-code applications, workflows, and dashboards that streamline business processes. (Note: Hands-on Power Platform work is not a primary focus of this role but experience here is a plus.)  
  • Collaborate across teams: Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, software developers, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into viable technical solutions. Ensure effective integration of AI models and data pipelines, and coordinate with governance and security teams to align solutions with best practices. 
  • Client engagement & communication: Communicate complex technical concepts and articulate the business value of data and AI solutions in a clear, compelling manner to diverse audiencesfrom technical teams to C-level executives. Act as a trusted advisor to clients throughout engagements, aligning solutions with their strategic objectives and ensuring client satisfaction. 
  • Innovation and IP developmentIdentify new opportunities for leveraging data, AI, and automation to solve customer problems or improve our offerings. Contribute to the creation of reusable solution assets, reference architectures, and internal best-practice playbooks for Data & AI delivery, helping to continuously improve our practice. 
  • Continuous learning: Stay current with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, data analytics, and cloud technologies – from generative AI techniques and LLMs to updates in Azure AI Foundry and Microsoft Fabric – and assess their applicability to client use cases. Share insights with the team and drive adoption of valuable new tools or methodologies.  
  • Pre-sales support: Support the sales and business development team by participating in early-stage client conversations, discovery workshops, and “art of the possible” demonstrations. Review and refine technical proposals, architecture envisioning, effort estimates, and statements of work (SOWs) that accurately address client requirements. 



Required Qualifications: 

  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in designing and implementing technology solutions (with 5+ years focused on data engineering, analytics, and/or AI/ML solutions on Azure in a lead capacity). Proven track record of leading successful enterprise projects or consulting engagements. 
  • Azure & Data expertise: Deep expertise in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem – including hands-on experience with Azure AI services (e.g. Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services, Azure ML), Copilot Studio, and Azure data platforms (e.g. Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage) for building end-to-end data pipelines and AI solutions.  
  • Solution architecture skills: Strong ability to design scalable data architectures (data lakes, warehouses, and models) and to integrate advanced machine learning models into business workflows. Experience implementing MLOps/DevOps practices for CI/CD of data and AI solutions in Azure environments is highly valued. 
  • ProgrammingProficiency in programming languages and frameworks relevant to data and AI development. Python expertise is required; experience with C#/.NET and/or other languages (e.g. Java, Scala, R) is desirable. Ability to develop custom code for data processing, automation, and AI model deployment. 
  • Problem-solving & adaptability: Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills. Adaptable, self-motivated, and able to thrive in ambiguous, fast-changing environments. A track record of creative problem-solving and delivering innovative solutions under evolving requirements.  
  • Communication & leadership: Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Confident engaging with clients at all levels (from engineers to executives). Demonstrated experience providing technical leadership on projects, guiding teams and ensuring quality delivery. 
  • EducationBachelor’s degree in computer scienceengineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience). 



Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Consulting & industry knowledge: Prior experience in a consulting professional services environment or similar client-facing role. Understanding of diverse industry contexts and use cases for data and AI solutions. 
  • Power Platform & BI: Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) and building low-code solutions is a strong plus. Familiarity with Power BI reporting and visualization best practices is also beneficial.  
  • Microsoft Fabric & new tech: Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and its components (e.g. OneLake, Spark, integrated analytics) is highly desirable, as well as exposure to Azure Purview or data governance in the Azure ecosystem. 
  • DevOps & Tools: Experience with agile methodologies and tools like Azure DevOps for source control, backlog management, and CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code and automation in Azure environments. 
  • Certifications: Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure AI Engineer Associate, Azure Data Engineer Associate, Power Platform certifications) are a plus, reflecting a commitment to continuous learning and excellence.
