Job Summary
Ensures the selection of qualified external and internal candidates at minimum cost to meet staffing needs within the Distribution Center. Manages a full recruiting life cycle across a variety of open roles helping to source, hire and retain quality talent. Responsible for the clerical/administration function within the HR Recruiting department. Responds to requests for information and completes the necessary HR related forms and documents. Interacts with Home Office and outside Vendors on a variety of HR related issues.
Major Areas of Responsibility
- Recruits, interviews and recommends hires for all positions up to front line Supervisors. Heavy concentration of recruiting hourly Distribution Center Associates. Ensures compliance to company policies and procedures all State and Federal laws.
- Develops and maximizes recruiting sources including internal candidates, state agencies, referrals, universities, etc. for all positions.
- Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing, analyzing, verifying and comparing qualifications to job requirements.
- Represent the company and makes presentations at job fairs, career seminars.
- Maintains Home Office job positions; Maintain regular contact with possible future candidates.
- Prepares and submits all required recruitment information including turnover, ad tracking, staffing information, etc.
- Oversees the completion of all new hire paperwork including offer letters where required and employment eligibility forms.
- Updates and maintains the Human Resources Information System to include personnel files, profiles, new hire paperwork, transfer/bid acceptances and personnel change status.
- Completes industrial accident paperwork.
- Facilitates new hire orientations.
- Responds to associate inquiries regarding HR related issues including, clarification of information.
- Retrieves drug test results and ensures records and reports are appropriately maintained.
- Responds to external inquiries regarding a variety of Human Resources issues.
- Interacts with Home Office on HR administrative issues and keeps the Human Resources Business Partner informed, as needed.
- Participates in payroll related administrative tasks and special projects as assigned.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
Minimum job skills required to perform this job: Strong background in Recruiting. Good organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of basic HR functions (payroll, files and benefits). Advanced experience with MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Word preferred. Good communication skills, People skills, Results driven.
Minimum experience required to perform this job: 1-5 years’ experience in recruiting or similar human resource function.
