Job Description
BAE Systems is looking for a mid-level Cybersecurity Analyst to join a strong team supporting our government customer. The mid-level Cybersecurity Analyst will be:
- Responsible for monitoring computer networks for security issues.
- Investigating security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents.
- Documenting security breaches and assess the damage they cause.
- Working with the security team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities, such as penetration testing.
- Fixing detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard.
- Recommending best practices for IT security.
- Installing security measures and operating software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption programs.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Minimum of 5 years' experience recommended. In absence of years of experience, certifications or past work may be used to show the level of experience needed to perform at this level.
- Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments.
- Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.
- Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems.
- Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.
- Supports Operations Center 24/7, 365 days a year.
- Operations Center team ensures the timely detection and resolution of potential security incidents.
- Operations Center team actively detects, monitors, prevents, and analyzes real-time cybersecurity information, events, and threats.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $94728 - $161038
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
