The CX Designer will enhance product experiences through user-centered design, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and managing multiple projects from discovery to launch.
As a CX Designer at SquarePeg, you will design product experiences for our customers and internal teams. This role will take ownership of the project's end-to-end process, from discovery through launch and iteration and collaborate with a cross-functional team of product managers, engineers, and business leaders.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the product and marketing teams to iteratively improve user experience across our products
- Work with engineers to create specific solutions for tactical business problems identified by Product
- Articulate designs by putting them in the context of business and user goals
- Create designs from wireframing to high-fidelity
- Effectively communicate conceptual ideas, design rationale, and specifics of a user-centric design process
- Participate in regular design reviews - seek out specific feedback on your designs, iterate, and incorporate different feedback
- Optimize information architecture to promote usability, while accommodating technical needs/constraints
- Participate in beta testing and post release product monitoring
- Manage multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines with a sense of urgency
Qualifications
- 8+ years of relevant work experience at software companies designing B2B SaaS products
- Expertise in User Experience and User Interface development (UI/UX). Experience with APIs preferred.
- Deep knowledge and prior experience in user research and usability testing practices
- Ability to create solutions that consider end-to-end user flows and impacts on adjacent experiences
- Experience in responsive design, and application of human-computer interaction principles to application development.
- Strong prototyping skills, and the ability to find the right balance of fidelity vs. speed to reliably convey key concepts.
- Ability to design and document complex business systems and workflows.
- Experience with web content management systems and templating languages
- Experience working in, and facilitating, an agile design and software development process
- Skill in developing specifications and mockups using UX design tools and/or programming in web application languages.
- Compelling portfolio of work over a wide range of creative projects
- Experience in current web technologies, such as JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, and HTML5 is a plus
- Experience working in Github, Zenhub, Figma, hotjar, and craft desired.
- Mobile First Design experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Graphic Arts, Human-Machine-Interface or related field
