About the Role: Newsela is looking for a dedicated Support & Billing Specialist to join our remote team in the Philippines. In this role, you will be one of the primary points of contact for our customers, primarily teachers, guiding them through the subscription and renewal process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct phone calls and emails to schools to facilitate timely renewals.
  • Generate quotes, process orders, and manage invoicing.
  • Discuss billing information with customers which includes payment timing, billing address information, and due dates
  • Assist customers with basic troubleshooting and account inquiries.
  • Use Google Sheets and Salesforce or Excel to track customer interactions and billing cycles.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of customer service or billing experience with a U.S.-based company.
  • Proficiency in Google Docs and Spreadsheets (Excel or Salesforce experience is a plus).
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Written and verbal English fluency
  • Experience working US based hours (PHL night shift)
    • Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week), Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM ET.
  • Candidates must have access to and be willing to use their personal computer or laptop for this role. The device can be a Mac (Apple) or PC product.
