Fingerprint empowers developers to stop online fraud at the source.
We work on turning radical new ideas in the fraud detection space into reality. Our products are developer-focused and our clients range from solo developers to publicly traded companies. We are a globally dispersed, 100% remote company with a strong open-source focus. Our flagship open-source project is FingerprintJS (20K stars on GitHub).
We have raised $77M and are backed by Craft Ventures (previously invested in Tesla, Facebook, Airbnb ), Nexus Venture Partners (previously invested in Postman, Apollo.io, MinIO, Druva) and Uncorrelated Ventures (previously invested in Redis, Rollbar & Gradle).
We have noticed a rise in recruiting impersonations across the industry, where scammers attempt to access candidates' personal and financial information through fake interviews and offers. All Fingerprint recruiting email communications will always come from the @fingerprint.com domain. Any outreach claiming to be from Fingerprint via other sources should be ignored.
We’re looking for a Customer Success Engineer to serve as the technical backbone for our enterprise customers. In this role, you’ll partner closely with Customer Success Managers, Sales, Product, and Engineering to ensure smooth onboarding, product adoption, and drive long-term technical success.
You’ll be the go-to technical resource for our customers - translating their business needs into practical solutions using our product. If you're a problem-solver who thrives at the intersection of code, systems thinking, and real-world impact, this role is for you.
What You’ll DoOwn technical onboarding
- Lead hands-on onboarding for new enterprise customers.
- Customize implementation plans and guide technical teams through setup and integration.
Support & troubleshoot
- Help customers solve integration challenges, debug technical issues, and optimize performance.
- You’ll handle questions about REST API integrations, JavaScript SDK usage, and platform configuration.
Drive adoption
- Proactively surface use cases and workflows to expand product usage.
- Help customers get the most out of our tech.
Be the customer’s voice
- Advocate internally for customer needs.
- Share product feedback, report bugs, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Deliver training
- Host technical walkthroughs, share documentation, and build reusable resources that empower customers to succeed.
Strengthen relationships
- Build trust with engineers, product leads, and execs at customer orgs.
- Be seen as a consultative partner - not just support.
Track usage & health
- Monitor account metrics, identify red flags early, and collaborate on retention plans with CS and Sales.
- Location: Based in the US or Canada (we are a fully remote team).
- Experience: 3+ years in a technical customer-facing role - Customer Success Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Technical Support Engineer. Bonus: experience with API-first products or developer tools.
- Technical Skills: Strong technical background with professional experience writing production-quality JavaScript code and building integrations with RESTful APIs or other web services. Proficiency in SQL and a solid understanding of software development lifecycles and modern API architectures.
- Experience contributing code in a professional setting, including JavaScript and at least one of Fingerprint’s supported SDK languages (Go, Node.js, Python, PHP, C#, Java) is preferred.
- Experience with serverless computing, understanding of modern web architecture, and integrating third-party services is a strong plus.
- Troubleshooting mindset: You know how to isolate technical issues, read logs, write database queries, and debug end-to-end.
- Clear communication: You can translate tech speak into business value and vice versa. Comfortable working async with distributed teams.
- Customer orientation: You listen deeply, prioritize impact, and know how to say “yes, and” or “no, but” without burning bridges.
- Education & certs: A CS or Engineering degree is great, but not required. Relevant certifications (cloud, architecture, etc.) are a bonus.
- Experience supporting or working with fraud detection, security, or identity products
- You’ve worked at a fast-paced startup or in a technical customer-facing role at a dev tools company
- You’ve built internal or external facing tools, automation scripts, or code samples to scale your own impact
Compensation:
100k - 115k + bonus. For cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all US based roles based on function, level and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.

Offers vary depending on, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, certifications/licenses, skills, training, and market conditions.
Due to regulatory and security reasons, there’s a small number of countries where we cannot have Fingerprint teammates based. Additionally, because Fingerprint is an all-remote company and people can join our workforce from almost any country, we do not sponsor visas. Fingerprint teammates need to be authorized to work from their home location.
We are dedicated to creating an inclusive work environment for everyone. We embrace and celebrate the unique experiences, perspectives and cultural backgrounds that each employee brings to our workplace. Fingerprint strives to foster an environment where our employees feel respected, valued and empowered, and our team members are at the forefront in helping us promote and sustain an inclusive workplace. We highly encourage people from underrepresented groups in tech to apply.
