Get to Know the Opportunity:    

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Operational Excellence - Customer Experience Intern to join our team in Summer 2025. In this internship you will gain exposure to senior leadership, work on meaningful projects, participate in learning and development opportunities and join in networking opportunities with other team members and fellow interns. You will have the opportunity to learn valuable skills, including customer journey mapping, voice of the customer data analysis, key insight development, and stakeholder influencing being part of a high-performing team who values partnership and problem solving, as well as having fun. This role is perfect for someone passionate about problem solving, continuous improvement, and building a strong workplace culture. The Contributions You’ll Make:

  • Interact with cross-functional teams and departments to ensure quality, accuracy and completeness of assignments.

  • Assist with special projects, documentation efforts and administrative assistance as needed.

  • Interact with subject matter experts to understand and document core business processes.

  • Assist in customer journey, process and sentiment mapping.

  • Participate in collaborative Customer Experience/Continuous Improvement Workgroups.

  • Analyze Voice of Customer (VOC) trends to identify opportunities to improve the customer experience.

  • Work collaboratively with your fellow interns to create a final presentation.

  • Meet with your team and manager in weekly team huddles and 1:1’s.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Knowledge & Experience:

  • Undergraduate or graduate students in any major

  • Students with fresh perspectives and passion for problem solving

  • Dependable, quick learner who is independent and works well with others

  • Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills

  • Detail-oriented and quality focused

  • Strong Microsoft Office and Excel skills, Visio helpful but not mandatory

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

$20.00-$23.00/hr. USD
