This position is open to Buffalo, NY; Wilmington, DE; Baltimore, MD or Bridgeport, CT.

This will be a hybrid position, working three days in the office and flexibility to work from home two days a week.

Overview: 

We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing Customer Analytics Business Architect supporting our Commercial and Business Banking divisions. This role will bridge the gap between business needs and data driven marketing strategies by defining business requirements. The ability to analyze complex data sets will be important to ensure seamless integration. Our Business Architect will need to have a deep understanding of customer analytics, marketing performance measurements coupled with strong experience writing business requirements and data analysis.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Partner with Marketing colleagues, technology and business stakeholders to define and document business requirements for customer analytics and marketing initiatives

  • Provide strategic direction and execution of data analytics initiatives, collaborating with senior leadership, key stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals

  • Lead business process improvement, stakeholder management, solution design & architecture, change management to improve efficiency and scalability

  • Translate business objectives into actionable data driven solutions that enhance customer segmentation personalization and campaign effectiveness

  • Ensuring smooth operations, supporting the execution of analytics and process improvements, and supporting the broader change management initiatives with minimal supervision

  • Able to influence, create alignment and inspire action among team peers; may influence, create alignment, and inspire action across department

  • Ability to directly supervise a small team of contractors and FTE

  • Adhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls in accordance with Company or regulatory standards and policies

  • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand

  • Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators, as applicable

  • Complete other related duties as assigned

Scope of Responsibilities: 

Responsible for continuously enhancing the evolution of our analytics capabilities while also working to enhance the vision for the analytics team. 

Education and Experience Required: 

  • Master's degree

  • 9 years relevant experience, with 4 years managerial experience and experience managing vendor/partner relationships including in business analytics, marketing analytics or data driven strategy experience

  • Advanced SQL, Excel and data visualization experience

  • Previous experience writing business requirements and completing data analysis

  • Strong writing skills and attention to detail a must

  • Strong communication skills to interact with the business and technical stakeholders effectively

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Powerpoint, & Excel and, workflow experience

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • Current or previous Commercial Banking & Business Banking experience, ideally at M&T Bank

  • Experience with Customer data platforms (CDP’s) and source systems

  • Knowledge of the customer hierarchy model of the Commercial Bank

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $115,703.73 - $192,839.55 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation. The range listed above corresponds to our national pay range for this role. The specific pay range applicable to you may vary based on your location.
